What
is it?
Irap is a syringe system which is
used to produce autologous condition serum (ACS)
What is ACS?
ACS contains active quantities of autologous antiinflammatory and
regenerative cytokines.
How does it work?
Whole blood is taken from the horse into the irap syringe. This
is then incubated, centrifuged and the serum extracted for re-injection
into the horse from which the blood was taken.
What can it be used for?
Joint lameness, muscle injuries, tendon and ligament injuries.
Has it been tested?
A blinded placebo controlled trial gave excellent results

- Blood Collection withirap 50ml-syringe
under routine aseptic conditions
- 1-2 syringes are required per patient
- Label syringe pateirnt data

- Incubation of syringe at 37 C 24 kours
- Process each patient's blood separately
|

- Centrifuge incubated syringe 10 min at
3700 rpm
- Load centrifuge symmetrically
|
|

- Disinfect syringe thoroughly
- Carefully aspirate serum with 20 ml-
syringe
|

- Aliquote autologous conditioned serum
through filter / adapter into 5 ml syringes
- Close 5 ml - syringes with sterile caps
|

- Immediately label 5 ml - syringes with
patient data
- Keep all syringes of one patient in a
store package at 18 C until use
Shelf Life at least 7 months
